Amalfi Coast, Italy - 9 nights

Experience the delights of two of the most beautiful and popular places on the Amalfi Coast - Sorrento and Positano. You will stay in a gorgeous 4 star relais (country hotel) in Sorrento for seven nights with spacious rooms, a private beach and a friendly and helpful staff. And in Positano, you will stay for two nights in either a luxury apartment with amazing views, or depending on your group size, at a three or four star hotel. This tour can be customized to include fewer or more nights in each place as well as tailoring it to your groups' needs. 


This really is a tour for the absolute foodie! This culinary tour has it all - three hands on cooking classes, visits to Pompei and Vesuvius, a mozzarella and limoncello demonstration and tastings, foodie tours to a gelato factory, a pasta factory and a winery. And last but not least, a visit to the spectacular island of Capri. 


In each of the three cooking classes you will prepare a complete menu (first dish, second dish and side dish). Your first cooking class will include stuffed pasta. The second class will include a fish based menu and the third class will be focused on pastry (but you will also prepare a first dish or a second dish it you'd like!).

Welcome to Italy!



Private transfer from Naples Airport or from Naples Train Station.



Accommodation at a beautiful 4 star relais located 3 km (2 miles) from Sorrento.



Tonight you will enjoy dinner at the restaurant of the relais (drinks included).







In the morning you will have your first private cooking lesson held by the chef of the restaurant of the relais. You will pick fresh vegetables from the garden and will prepare recipes focused on stuffed pasta  (Ravioli, Lasagne and Cannelloni). Lunch will follow.



In the afternoon you will be driven to Sorrento, where you will have time at leisure. You will then have dinner at the best Neapolitan Pizzeria in Sorrento (drinks included).


Transfer back to the relais included.







Pick up and transfer by minivan from the hotel to Sorrento port. You will enjoy an excursion by private boat to the enchanting island of Capri, weather permitting. Our private boat will transfer you from the relais to Capri, with a boat tour around the island including stops to visit the most spectacular places such as the Blue Grotto and the Emerald Grotto. You will have a full day at leisure to discover this unforgettable island.


At about 5.00 pm you will meet the captain at Marina Grande Port in Capri for the transfer back to Sorrento by private boat. Private transfer by minivan from Sorrento port to your hotel.


Dinner tonight will be at a gourmet restaurant in Sorrento (drinks included - Free choice menu from la carte of the restaurant : one starter, one first dish, one second dish, dessert, mineral water and wine.

Today is your second cooking lesson in the morning. You will learn how to portion and clean a fish and you will make a complete fish-based menu. Lunch will follow in the afternoon.



After lunch you will be picked up from the relais for a visit of some hidden villages of the Sorrento Peninsula. You will discover lemon groves and how to make Limoncello. Then onto a cheese farm where you will have a Mozzarella demonstration and a tasting of typical products from the area.



Transfer back to the relais. You can have dinner at the relais (if it's even needed, since you will have been "tasting" all afternoon!). 








Pick up for a private excursion. You will first visit the worldwide renowned village of Gragnano, home of the best Pasta. You will visit the ancient Pastificio Afeltra. At the end of your visit, transfer to Sorrento where you will visit an ice cream factory where you will learn how to make the authentic Italian ice cream and will taste different ice creams. You will have explanations on the differences between ice cream and gelato, on how to make cream based gelato and fresh fruit sorbet, how to make limoncello, on the different ways to make gelato at home with gelato machine and without, along with a short history of gelato with a demonstration of how to make gelato including different members of the group assisting in the demonstration. A small cup of the gelato made during the demonstration will be offered along with another gelato with 2 flavors.



At the end of the gelato class you will have time at leisure in Sorrento and at 6.00 pm, pick up from Sorrento and transfer back to the relais.   



Dinner at a “Trattoria” in Sorrento. Transportation back to relais (not included). 











Pick up from the hotel for a private full day excursion for the guided visit of Pompei where you will meet your guide. You will then reach Naples together with your guide where you will have a private guided excursion to Mount Vesuvius.



Transfer back to the relais.

You will have your third cooking lesson focused on pastry. You will learn how to prepare traditional Neapolitan sweets such as sfogliatella, pastiera and babà. Lunch will follow.



Time at leisure in the afternoon.

Pick up and transfer to Positano.



If you are a group of 6, accommodation is at a luxury private apartment featuring 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, living room and kitchen, two magnificent ample terraces, perfect for dining al fresco, sunbathing or simply relaxing with the view over Positano and the sea right before your eyes, three balconies. For smaller groups you will stay in a beautiful 4 star hotel.



Dinner on your own this evening.








Today you will be picked up for a private full day excursion by minivan and English speaking driver to Amalfi and Ravello. Your first stop will be in Ravello, where you will have time at leisure for the visit.



Then you will  discover another unexpected side of the Amalfi Coast  : the green heart of the Amalfi coast with centuries old vineyards and lovely villages where time seems to have stopped. You will taste the award winning wines (Falanghina, Aglianico) together with the farmhouse cheese and salami. Here you will experience a true “lunch with the farmers“ and you will be immersed in the true farm atmosphere. 



After the lunch you will drive to Amalfi, with time at leisure, then transfer back to the apartment, the hotel or to Positano.
